ABOUT JACKIE
Born and raised in Kealakekua, Hawaii, Jackie was a tomboy with glamorous aspirations. Convinced she was going to be the next Gwen Stefani she colored her hair platinum at the age of 12. It was a life-changing experience! At the age of 17, she moved to Southern California to attend school in Huntington Beach. At the age of 19, Jackie graduated with a license in Cosmetology. She honed her craft for several months assisting a salon owner in Newport Beach before the Big Island called her back in 2006.
Jackie loves her life as a hairstylist/make-up artist! In addition to her schooling she have personally been trained by Fernando Salas, the owner/creator of White Sands Hair Products to be a certified educator on their entire hair care line. She likes to keep up with the latest products and trends by continuing her education. She has gone to the Unite Academy in San Diego, Long Beach International Salon and Spa Expo, Las Vegas International Beauty Show, Orlando Premiere Orlando, and various other national tradeshows. She also attended “The Hair Shop Master Extension Class” in LA and has her American Board of Certified Hair Colorists ‘Color Summit’ certificate. She enjoys learning and keeping up to date with the constantly evolving beauty industry.
In the past, Jackie helped out at a local photo club where she was in charge of planning, coordinating, and styling make-up and hair for fashion forward photo shoots. Jackie says, "It’s so rewarding to be part of the process and see the final result!"
In her free time she loves to travel. She has spent a lot of time in Asia and NYC. One of her dreams is to make a cross-country trip across the mainland!
